The Claremont site was in dire need of a new look and feel that would match their school culture and improve the overall visual layout. Asides from a fresh look, the other key task was to integrate with their online learning tool - 'Moodle' and determine Moodle’s ability to hide or show content on the home page to match the feature set needed including navigation, featured home page items and drop down menus.
Solutions
- We researched Moodle’s abilities based on their current usage and educated the client on what was possible and what was not.
- We then determined which features would be shown or not on their home page
- Once this was determined we developed a new site design with an emphasis on user experience and simplicity based on discussions with Claremont.
- Finally, we developed an easy to implement theme congruent with Moodle’s framework. This allowed their team to easily add the new theme.
- We currently provide ongoing support for other sites within SD63
